Canyon’s In-Line Turbines are a series of compact, highly efficient hydro power generation units. These turbines are site specific for maximum efficiency but share a number of common parts for competitive pricing and quick lead times. Designed specifically for conduit power recovery, the ILTs are available for standard pipe sizes from 6 to 24 inches.

Adjustable wicket gates maintain efficiency over a wide range or flows and heads to maximize power recovery in variable conditions.

With simplified installation and an extremely compact footprint the civil installation costs are significantly reduced over conventional turbines.

In-Line Turbine Features

The In-Line Turbine is a traditional Francis turbine reconfigured to have in line flanges for ease of installation. Adjustable wicket gates manipulate the flow rate and pressure differential across the turbine giving precise control and ensuring optimal efficiency.

When properly implemented in a clean water applications Canyon Turbines have an expected life cycle of 30+ years with minimal routine maintenance. When rebuild is necessary all wear components are completely servicable.
